Low Cost Spay/Neuter Available for Buncombe County Residents

Spay neuterSpay/neuter is the most effective method of managing pet overpopulation. Residents of Buncombe County, regardless of income, can now take advantage of low cost spay/neuter through the Humane Alliance Spay/Neuter Clinic, a nationally recognized clinic located in Asheville.

The Buncombe County Animal Shelter offers Buncombe County residents a spay/neuter voucher good for spaying or neutering of a dog for just $35 or a cat for just $20. A rabies shot will be included. Buncombe County residents are required to spay/neuter their pets.

The Buncombe County Animal Shelter is located at 16 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville (off Brevard and Pond Roads, behind Harmony Motors and near the WNC Farmers Market). The Shelter is open from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday, through Saturday.
