Dogs in their middle and senior years make great pets. As the ASPCA says, "Older dogs are open books— from the start, you’ll know important things like their full-grown size, personality and grooming requirements. All this information makes it easier to pick the right dog and forge that instant love connection that will last a lifetime. If you’re not so into surprises, an older dog is for you!"
This Friday and Saturday, August 7 and 8, from 10 AM to 6 PM, dogs (and cats) 6 years of age and older are available with no adoption fees at the Asheville Humane Society Adoption Center, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville (off Brevard and Pond Roads, near the WNC Farmers Market).
