New Location for Asheville Humane Thrift Store

Asheville Humane Society recently moved its Thrift Store into a larger retail space in the River Ridge Marketplace shopping center that will allow them to help even MORE pets in need! The new address is:
800 Fairview Road, Suite EE
(store entrance to the right, donation drop-off door to the left).
Thrift Store Hours:
SHOPPING - Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM
DONATION DROP OFF - Monday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Please drop donations at the door to the left of the main store entrance. Ring the bell inside of the donation drop-off area for assistance.

General Store Supplies:

We love to have these items donated regularly for general store use: paper or cloth shopping bags, department store-type plastic bags (please no grocery store plastic bags), zippered plastic linen bags (the kind that new linens come in), cleaning supplies like Windex, Pledge, or Lysol,  price tags (stickers or hang tags), jewelry boxes/cloth bags, and snack-size zip-top baggies.  Please see our Amazon wish list HERE!

Baby/Children’s Items:

We love to receive in-season children’s clothing, toys in very good condition, and games with all pieces. 
We cannot accept cribs or car seats. 

Clothing, Accessories, Jewelry, and Linens:

We love to receive in-season clothing, accessories, costume jewelry, and linens in great condition. We love to receive fine jewelry in any condition!

Electronics and Appliances:

We love to receive most electronics and appliances that are in good working condition. 
We cannot accept gas appliances, built-in microwaves, VHS players, tube TVs, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, air purifiers or humidifiers.

Exercise Equipment:

We love to receive newer exercise equipment, and sporting goods in working condition. 

Furniture, Housewares, Home Decor, and Kitchen:

We love to receive almost anything that is not broken or does not have rips, tears or stains. 
We cannot accept large/deep entertainment centers, particle board furniture, very large desks, mattresses, box springs or anything that is too large for us to handle due to limited space. 

Lawn and Garden:

We love to receive outdoor furniture, lawn equipment, and garden items in good non-rusty condition.  


We love to receive books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, and video games that are in good condition. 
We cannot accept magazines, VHS tapes, cassettes, encyclopedias, textbooks, books that have a musty smell, homemade or copied CDs or DVDs.

Pet Supplies:

We love to receive pet supplies that are in good condition. 
We cannot accept rusted metal pet items, tie-out stakes or shock collars.


We love to receive seasonally-appropriate décor in good condition. 
We cannot accept items that are out of season due to our limited storage space.

Vintage/Antique Items:

We love to receive antique, vintage and collectible items in good condition. 


We are able to sell a limited number of vehicles through the shop each year and we love to receive vehicles in great working condition!  If you are interested in donating your vehicle to be sold at the shop, please email thrift@ashevillehumane.org and include a photo of the vehicle (if possible), the year, make, model, and mileage. If you're unable to email, please call the shop at (828)761-2002 or stop by at 1425 Patton Ave.

If we are unable to sell your vehicle at our shop, you can still donate the proceeds to Asheville Humane!  Please see the "Car Donations" section of our website HERE for more information!
